Instead of grinding and tearing your box up you could have bought a MDF spacer ring and put over top of your speaker cutout in Mount a MDF spacer ring and then Mount your sub to that spacer ring that's larger and your sub would fit in that hole

Remove that amp off that subwoofer box immediately that's how you get your amp torn up the vibration from the base rattles pieces loose on the inside of your amp and ruins it if it hasn't happened yet just be thankful but it will happen so I would remove it off of that box immediately and put screws in the screw holes that it's going to be left behind from where you had the amp mounted or squirt some silicone in there and sand it off do something with that amp needs to be removed off that box immediately

Bro you never want to Mount your amp to your subwoofer box that's how you vibrate parts loose inside your amp and tear it up.

That down for sound box is a very good enclosure. It's turned perfect like 32 -34 htz

I bought 2 jp23s had to pay extra for ea amp to be warrantied 50 bucks a piece and another 25 ea for plexi bottoms and that crook offered to hand sign each for even more money. 16 .oaths into slamming 2 rockville punisher d1s wired to .5 on each amp both amps took a shit one month apart so I guess one did 17 months smh. One yr warranty bullshit......emailed d4s a total of 6 times over 2 months still now 6 months later no response not even a fu warranty is expired I got nothing not even effort to reply. Robot underground sold me replacements WITH 3 YEAR WARRANTIES AND HALF THE PRICE FOR THE WATTS OUT THE DOOR. If anyone reading this knows jp hair gel tell him I said piss off his amps blow same with his company and their no customer service. Robot underground for life lol.

The box may good enough for a SA12 but you will need a better box with a double baffle for that DVx.

I didn't know down for sound sould their boxes in bare mdf like that. Looks cheap, especially in a Tesla. The grey/black rhino liner paint would look so much cleaner

Definitely need some sound mat, all the rattling noise not good for listening. You will notice a big difference after sound mat. For sure 👍🏾

Did you tap into the stock Battery? and how do you deal with voltage drop? Can you show us your wiring setup, i’m wanting to put a sub into my electric vehicle and if you could show that it would be cool

for your next box, should really get a good quality subwoofer box terminal, and a subwoofer gasket around the rim for a better seal. Also, I would recommend to terminate the ends of the speaker and power cables with high quality copper, and heat shrink tubes.
